"Scarecrow with Pumpkins" Cookie Jar

Updated October 23, 2026

"Scarecrow with Pumpkins" Cookie Jar, originally produced from a popular 1970s ceramic hobby mold (commonly marked under mold lines like USA 871 or Byron Molds). During the 1970s and 1980s, pottery studios and hobbyists would cast these detailed slips, fire them into bisque, and paint them by hand. Because each piece was individually hand-decorated before final firing or sealing, color variations on the hat band, patches, and pumpkins are common.
