American Bisque "Fruit Basket" cookie jar, produced in the 1950s. This highly collectible mid-century piece is shaped to look like a rectangular woven picnic basket or garden trug, complete with the word "Cookies" hand-painted across the front weave in bold black lettering. The removable lid is uniquely styled as an overflowing bounty of colorful, embossed orchard fruits—including purple grapes, red apples, oranges, and green leaves—all framed by a large central carrying handle that doubles as the lid knob.
