Shawnee Pottery "Puss 'n Boots" cookie jar, originally designed and patented in the 1940s (circa 1944) out of Zanesville, Ohio. This iconic piece of mid-century Americana features a charming crouching cat with its eyes closed in a content smile. This specific version is highly prized by collectors as the premium Gold Trim variant. It features a large, ornate maroon-red neck bow highlighted with 22k gold luster trim lines, scalloped gold edges running along her floral-printed shawl, and a small bird figure perched on the front of her hat.
