A mid-20th-century framed needlepoint tapestry depicting a winter landscape. The work is executed in a tent or half-cross stitch on canvas using a palette of muted blues, grey, browns, and terracotta. The scene features two steeply gabled cottages with prominent chimneys, a stone bridge spanning a river, and bare winter trees. The piece is housed in a wooden frame with a gold-tone outer edge and a textured cream-coloured inner slip. The reverse is sealed with brown backing paper and fitted with a wire for hanging. Condition: The needlepoint is in good condition, free of visible staining, pulled threads, or significant fading. The frame shows minor age-related wear, including small scuffs to the gilded edges.
