Title: Abstract Color Field Composition in Ochre, Rust, and Ivory Technique: Oil on canvas Measures: 21 x 20 inches (53.3 x 50.8 cm) Year: 1956 (inscribed on reverse) Condition: The composition displays softly blended color fields, visible brushwork, and subtle variations in pigment density. Minor surface irregularities and age-related wear may be present. The reverse shows discoloration and handling marks. Presented in a wide reddish-brown wooden frame with minor signs of wear. Not examined out of the frame. Condition is described from the photographs supplied. Please review all photographs carefully, as they form an integral part of the condition description. Provenance: Sold from a gallery in 2008 to a private European collector, the work remained there until 2017. It was then sold through a gallery to a collector in Asia and remain there until now. Visual Description: An abstract color-field composition featuring broad, softly defined rectangular areas of pale ivory, rust brown, and golden yellow against an olive-green background. The feathered edges and translucent transitions between colors create a quiet, atmospheric effect characteristic of mid-century abstract expressionism. This composition reflects stylistic elements commonly associated with major figures in modern and contemporary art.
