Moon Me Major

Updated October 19, 2026

Moon Me Major is a 2018 bay American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) stallion owned by TJ Earhart and standing at JTS Quarter Horses in Goodrich, Texas. He is bred for the barrel racing and racing disciplines. Physical Characteristics & Information • Height: He stands 15.3 hands high (hh). He weighs between 1,200 and 1,300 lbs. • Temperament: He is widely marketed by breeders for his excellent "Sense" and "Temperament," offering a balanced and willing mind alongside high athletic capability. His owner describes him as a talented, charismatic horse who "knows he’s number one" around the farm. • Disease Panel Results: He is 7-Panel N/N (Negative/Negative). Genetic testing via platforms like StallionCompare confirms he is clean and clear of all major Quarter Horse hereditary conditions, including HYPP, PSSM1, HERDA, GBED, MYHM, and MH. Accomplishments & Progeny As a younger "Junior Stallion" who officially entered stud to the public recently, his primary impact is currently focused on the breeding shed rather than an extensive personal performance record. • Pedigree Power: Much of his acclaim comes from his elite racing and performance bloodlines. He is sired by First Moonflash (an AQHA Champion Racing Stallion with lifetime earnings of $969,828) and is out of the money-earning mare Achildhooddream, a direct daughter of the multi-million dollar racing sire FDD Dynasty. • Progeny: His first foal crop hit the ground running. These early foals are highly regarded by barrel and track breeders for their style and build. • Major Incentives: To support his offspring's success in the arena, he is heavily enrolled in premier barrel racing and racing incentive funds. Foals are eligible for Future Fortunes, Young Guns League, Cowboy State Stallions, Colorado Classic, TQHA (Race & Barrel), VGBRA, and WPRA PESI.
