This auction lot features a matching pair of original 1922 editions of The Aloha, the inaugural student yearbook published by the senior class of Mount Joy High School in Lancaster County Pennsylvania. The softcover booklets feature a textured sage green cardstock wrap bound with a white decorative string tie and are stamped on the front cover with the publication title, the year 1922, and the school initials M J H S. Inside, the historic annuals document early twentieth century student life, featuring the official alma mater song lyrics, a printed class poem by Martha Lindemuth, class history summaries, and black and white group photographs of the yearbook staff. Both volumes are well preserved with clean text pages, tight string bindings, and minor edge scuffing consistent with their advanced age.
