Updated October 19, 2026

C-21742

Group of six pewter dinner plates accompanied by an oval serving tray with an aluminum rim and black plastic base. Five of the plates are marked SBU with a winged-figure maker’s mark, while the sixth is marked Old World Pewter. The serving tray combines a pewter center with an aluminum rim and molded black plastic base. The five SBU plates appear to have originally featured lettering stamped along the front rims, though the inscriptions have worn away and are no longer legible. c. Mid-20th Century; SBU and Old World Pewter

The group displays scattered scratches, scuffs, oxidation, finish wear, and use marks consistent with age. One pewter plate has a noticeably darker patina than the others. The reverse of one SBU plate exhibits numerous pock marks, as shown in the photographs.
