Certificate. The Studebaker-Packard Corporation was formed in 1954 through the high-profile merger of two iconic American automotive manufacturers: the luxury automaker Packard Motor Car Company and the historic Studebaker Corporation, which had been building transportation vehicles since the wagon era. Intended to create a stronger fourth major U.S. automaker to compete against Detroit's Big Three, the company struggled with high overhead costs and market pressure, ultimately discontinuing the legendary Packard brand in 1958. The ornate certificate features an elegant allegorical vignette centered around a seated classic female figure holding a lit torch flanked by two seated muscular male artisans representing industrial strength and engineering design. Because we have multiples of the certificate shown, you are bidding on a certificate of equal of better condition but with a different Issuance Date and Owner name.
