All of the slave / store receipts and contracts we are offering come from the John Donalson estate, of the Bainbridge, GA area. He is the father of the founder of the city of Donalson, Georgia, John Ernest Donalson. These are a part of history, and chronicle the unfortunate lives of real people who lived and loved and had families, yet were considered property, and sold, bought and traded as such. Our hope is a museum or family members of the slave families might find / buy them to preserve their personal history.
