This authentic antique laundry washboard is a rustic primitive collectible featuring the faded but clear original stenciled typography reading Flyer Silver across the top wooden header board. The text identifies it as a high grade labor saver model with factory size data stamped just below the main logo. Built with a sturdy mortised wood frame that stands twenty-four inches tall, the piece showcases a heavily corrugated galvanized metal scrubbing surface designed with distinct spiral rope style ridges. The reverse side features six solid vertical wooden reinforcing slats that support the back of the metal rubbing board. Exhibiting a beautiful weathered patina, significant surface rust, and honest wear from decades of utility, this classic piece of americana serves as a wonderful decorative accent for a farmhouse laundry room, country kitchen, or historical display.
