An exceptionally rare Blodgett Hook No.1 box, with only a scant few known, housing one of Wisconsin's rarest lures: the Blodgett "Weedless Skipper and Diver Sure Catch". The early two-part box measures 3 5/8" x 1 1/4" x 1 1/8" tall and retains the majority of its "Mfg. by W. G. Blodgett, Milwaukee, Wisconsin" label. With a top puncture and one on the side, a few small stains on the interior of the box bottom and light wear otherwise, it is solid and definitely worthy of professional restoration. Dating from the teens (patent was granted on May 16, 1916), this lure is perhaps one of the rarest of all spring baits, grading about Ex- with almost no sign of use, only light wear/soiling and a bit of common bleed-through from the red wool onto the feathers. Seldom offered for sale, this 3 1/2" (overall) spring hook is complete and fully functional. A once in a lifetime opportunity to purchase an extremely rare Blodgett box - you may never see another.
