Pair of limited edition original color lithographs titled "Park Figures I" and "Park Figures III" (1984) by American artist Harold Altman. "Park Figures I" depicts a peaceful wooded landscape with towering trees, lush foliage, and small figures walking along a sunlit pathway, casting long shadows across the foreground. "Park Figures III" portrays three seated figures along a tree-lined park pathway, with additional figures walking in the distance. Both compositions feature Altman's distinctive use of delicate textures, muted green and yellow tones, and atmospheric light and shadow. Both lithographs are marked "Artist Proof" lower left, titled and dated in pencil along the lower center margin, and hand signed by the artist lower right. Presented under glass in matching dark wood frames with wide linen-textured mats. Merritt Chase certificates of authenticity affixed to verso. Each measures approximately 21.5" x 17.5" framed. Harold Altman (1924-2003) was an American painter and printmaker born in New York City. He studied at the Art Students League and worked extensively in France and Pennsylvania. Best known for his atmospheric landscapes, park scenes, and figurative compositions, his works are represented in major museum collections, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
