A mid-to-late 20th-century kneehole writing desk or dressing table in the French Provincial style. The piece is constructed from oak with a prominent grain and a medium brown finish. It features a serpentine-fronted top over a scalloped apron and is supported by four cabriole legs. The desk is fitted with five drawers, comprising a wide central drawer flanked by two deeper drawers on each side. The drawers have dark-stained interiors and are fitted with ornate scrolled metal handles in a copper-toned finish. Condition: The desk is in fair condition with visible signs of wear consistent with age and use. There is significant finish loss and chipping along the front scalloped edge of the top, alongside general surface scuffs, scratches, and finish abrasions. The legs exhibit various scuffs and some darkening or staining towards the feet.
