A collection of hand-turned wooden objects comprising several mortars, a pestle, and decorative vessels of varying forms. The items are crafted from a variety of hardwoods showcasing diverse grain patterns and natural knots, with one tall vessel exhibiting the characteristic appearance of yew-wood. The assortment includes a pedestal stand with a shallow concave top, a vessel featuring a distinctive triangular-section rim, and multiple cylindrical and waisted mortars. The underside of the circular pedestal base is hand-inscribed with the initials L. M. over W. H. Height of tallest vessel approx. 13.3 cm (note: measured from an inch-only scale). Condition: The collection shows evidence of natural age-related drying cracks and surface wear consistent with domestic use. Visible imperfections include minor abrasions, light scratches, and scuffs to the wood. Patinas range from a high-gloss polished finish to a more natural, matte surface. The items appear to be free of significant chips or restoration.
