Trainer Info Melinda, 31, of McEwen, Tennessee, is a lifelong horsewoman who operates a riding school alongside her husband and daughter. Their program uses several adopted mustangs and ponies to introduce the next generation of riders to the horse world while fostering a love for horsemanship and learning. With experience spanning multiple disciplines, Melinda has spent her career pursuing knowledge from a wide range of accomplished horsemen and trainers across the country. From working with Paso Finos in Ocala, to studying colt starting, reining, racehorses, and hunter-jumper programs, she has developed a well-rounded approach to training. Fresh off a Reserve Championship finish at the 2026 Heart of the Horse Trainers Challenge, Melinda is excited to bring her experience, versatility, and passion for horses to the Bluegrass Mustang Makeover.
