Distinctive studio pottery raku vase by Peter Alden, featuring a full rounded body with a broad turquoise-blue crackle-glazed rim and contrasting rare yellow crackle-glazed surface. Sculptural side elements rise vertically along the body and are secured with dark looped accents, giving the piece an architectural, almost vessel-like presence. The crackled glaze extends throughout the exterior with smoky gray and dark firing effects that emphasize the raku character, while the interior remains dark and wheel-thrown. The underside bears an incised artist mark/signature. Displays light surface wear and firing irregularities consistent with handmade raku pottery, with no obvious major damage visible. Measures 8.25"H x 8"W x 7"D.
