A set of four imperial volute marine gastropod shells, also known as Cymbiola imperialis. These heavy specimens feature a tall spire with prominent shoulder spines and a wide, glazed aperture. The exterior dorsum is decorated with a complex dark brown zig-zag pattern over a creamy tan ground, while the interior displays a glossy apricot-peach color. The largest shell measures 8 inches long. Overall good condition with natural gloss preserved on the apertures. Individual shells show varying degrees of calcification and natural wear to the spires. Minor chipping is visible on some outer lips and shoulder spine tips.
