1962 United States Mint Set. Official U.S. Mint annual set with 10 coins - Philadelphia and Denver mints, cent to half dollar, including 90% silver Roosevelt dime, Washington quarter, and Franklin half from each mint. In original cellophane and cardboard holder. 1962 sits at the peak of silver coinage before the 1965 clad transition, struck when silver was still $1.08 per ounce. Mint Sets from 1959-1964 are prized for uncirculated silver coins that never entered circulation, often yielding superb gem quality. Contains Franklin half, the last year before the Kennedy half debuted in 1964.
