Intro to Luxury: Up to $1,500 Reserve is a deep catalog, and it does not read like a beginner's sale. Louis Vuitton runs the widest lane here ? Keepalls and Keepall Bandoulieres in Monogram canvas and Epi leather, Speedys and Speedy Bandoulieres, Neverfulls, Almas in Monogram canvas and Vernis, Pochette Metis, Batignolles, Soft Trunks. Bottega Veneta answers with the Intrecciato bench: Cassette in maxi and padded maxi, Arco, Roma, BV Jodie, Olimpia, Loop, A-Shape, The Pouch. Hermes brings Kelly and Bearn leather goods, Evelyne, Aline, Clic H and Chaine d'Ancre. Chanel arrives in flaps, 19 wallets, Caviar cosmetic cases and costume metal. Cartier holds the jewelry line with Love bands, Juste un Clou, Trinity and C de Cartier. The reserve ceiling is the point. Nothing in this sale reserves above $1,500, which means Love bands in 18K rose, white and yellow gold, platinum Maillon Panthere, an 18K Van Cleef & Arpels Perlee, Clipper quartz watches and Hermes Barenia sit in the same catalog as full-size Keepalls and maxi Cassettes. Condition runs the whole Maison scale from Grade A - Pristine down, stated plainly on every lot, because bidders who know these models would rather have the grade than the adjective. Read the measurements before the model name. Half the value in a sale like this hides in the size bracket ? a 24 in Keepall and a 12 in Speedy are not the same bag with different math, and a 3.5 mm Love band wears nothing like a 5.4 mm one.
