Alex Cooper is pleased to present our Thursday, August 27th Gallery auction featuring fine jewelry and timepieces, sterling silver, outerwear, and coins. Fine jewelry featuring a wide selection of fine and vintage jewelry from the Estates of Louis B. McCarthy, Jean L. Berner, Hope Hollander, and Marianne C. Roderick. Highlights include an impressive pair of 4.10 ctw diamond stud earrings, a GIA-certified 8.24 ct emerald and diamond ring, and a GIA-certified 2.07 ct diamond solitaire necklace. The auction also offers an extensive selection of classic gold jewelry, including a San Marco necklace, multiple charm bracelets, McTeigue earrings, and more. Timepiece collectors will find an exceptional selection of high-end gold pocket watches, including examples by Vacheron & Constantin, Howard & Co., and other distinguished makers. Outerwear will feature vintage Burberrys trench coats and mink coats. Silver featuring fine pieces by Baltimore makers including an S Kirk & Son sterling repousse coffee pot and tea kettle on stand, an S Kirk & Son coin silver repousse butter dish and undertray, Schofield bowl, and an F Bucher & Sons sterling repousse vase. Rounding out the department is a nice selection of American and international sterling hollowware and flatware. Coins and currency featuring a Deak-Perara 1 oz gold bar, four one-ounce gold bullion coins, 11 lots of 90% silver US coins, U.S Silver Dollars and a group of lots which feature high grade classic American coins (1916-1945) purchased from auctions in the 1970s.
