Alexander was a former first team All-American football player from Rutgers University, member of the College Football Hall of Fame, NFL player for the New York Titans (Jets), and CEO for Young & Rubicam. His collection features American coin silver, jewelry, folk art, painted early American furniture, and a group of Pointer related materials. This sale also features items from a mountain top Pittsfield, Vermont retreat including fine formal English furnishings, library, & carpets. Paintings include a well documented George Inness, & William Hart. Items also descending in the family of Samuel Colt, founder of Colt firearms.
