John Moran Auctioneers is pleased to present their September Art of the American West Auction, comprising historic, modern, and contemporary art and objects by Native American Artists presented alongside Western Art, bronzes, and turn-of-the-century furnishings and decorative art. Stellar Western offerings include examples by Frank Tenney Johnson, Joseph Henry Sharp, Edward Borein, Maurice Logan, and Charles Marion Russell. American Indian highlights include collections of Pueblo pottery by named makers, excellent examples of Navajo weaving in the form of blankets and rugs, basketry, and silver jewelry by historic and named contemporary makers.
