This no-reserve session presents a diverse selection of Chinese art and antiques, spanning jade carvings, ceramics, Yixing wares, bronzes, cloisonn?, lacquer, scholar's objects, furniture, and textiles. Highlights include Ming and Qing dynasty jade, imperial and export ceramics, a group of Yixing teapots, huanghuali furniture, and an extensive selection of embroidered and kesi robes and panels. The sale also features works from several notable private collections, including property descended from Li Tiehan (1904-1965), as well as pieces from the estate of Dr. Reno W. Backus (1901-1979), a medical missionary in China during the 1930s.
